My husband John, his mother, father and sister were all born in Chicago. Nina always said that she wanted to live in Chicago someday. My mother-in-law Elaine (Grandma Lanie, as Nina called her) took Nina to Chicago in August 2009 to meet some of her friends and family. Of course, they went to Pizzeria Uno’s to have Chicago deep dish pepperoni pizza.

Nina’s brother Sandy lived in Shenzhen, China for a year after he graduated from college and taught English at a Chinese elementary school. Before he left to come home, Nina went over to visit him and see the wonders of that country! Is visiting a Chinese Temple one of your dream to-dos?

I don’t have much information about this one. I think she and her brother Sandy had to ride in an overnight sleeper bus to get from China to Hong Kong to fly back to Phoenix. Is this something you’d like to do? It could be quite an adventure.
