Once in your life
#288 Fly in a helicopter
In 2006, Nina went to Hawaii with my two sisters (Anne and Paula) and their husbands, Matt and Bob. Bob’s daughter Lindsay went, too. They flew in a helicopter in Kauai to get the lay or the land (and sea). It sounds like paradise.
Is this something that you want to add to your list or have already done? Please tell us about it and add pictures if you have them!
#101 Write a script for a TV show
Nina never wrote a TV script…or at least she never marked it off her list. Have you ever written a script for TV? Did you send it to anyone?
#180 Rediscover Evolution the Darwin Way in the Galapagos Islands
True Paradise! An on-this-planet-but-seems-like-a-science-fiction place; but, it’s all incredibly, wonderfully real! Talk about unique creatures – swimming iguanas, tropical penguins, “boobie” birds with bright blue feet and frigate birds that puff their chests into red balloons. This is one item I hope everyone will put on their list!
#124 Get Close to a Wild Animal That Could Kill You
Polar Bears look soft and fluffy. But around their young, and when they’re eating, they can be dangerous if you get too close. When it comes to dinner time, you can see that they dig right in. Are you fearless? Do you want to get close to a wild animal that could do some serious damage? So, put #124 on your list!
#175 Visit a Spiritual Place
Nina, I wish I could ask you what you were thinking when you crossed this off your list. I can only guess: Stonehenge, the ocean of the Artic, a gothic cathedral, or the Lincoln Memorial. Perhaps, you were thinking about sitting under an umbrella at home in the front yard watching the rain come down, sticking your tongue out to catch the drops and shutting your eyes to smell that unmistakable fresh, rain-air. I hope those of you who decide to blog about your idea of a “Spiritual Place” on Nina’s List, can add your voice to my guesses, too.
#356 Touch a panda bear
Pandas are such beautiful creatures. To me, their eyes look so soulful. But, I’m sure it has something to do with camouflage in the wild. I’m glad Nina got to get close and touch a panda. I wouldn’t have thought to put this on my list. Is one of the items on your list– to see an exotic animals up close and personal?
