I was thinking about Nina and randomly found this amazing website that honors who she was and how she saw the world. The Fenway area already made me think of Nina and driving her and her mother, my dear friend Colleen, to Nina’s first semester of colllege. I finally decided it was time to attend a game at Fenway after reading through her “list”. It just so happened to be the 100th anniversary game vs. the Yankees. Before the game, they gave out champagne to toast before the first pitch. I raised my glass not only to America’s best ballpark, but also to Nina, a passionate girl who believed in fighting for others, and changed my life in tthe very short time that I knew her. One down Nina, I’ll keep trying to cross a few more off for you…xo

I happy to say I was able to reach Fenway Park for the first time last year. It was also a dream of mine to see a Red Sox game at Fenway for a long time. I’m sorry that Nina never got to experience such a beautiful thing as being in a place such as Fenway. It oozes traditional baseball spirit and feeling to the point of surreality. Unfortunately the Sox lost to the Orioles that day, but I was able to buy a real Red Sox hat in the stadium and get a Fenway Frank. It brought be back to my childhood to be able to go to a real ball yard.
