Not only is the water of the Dead Sea the saltiest on Earth, but the mud is supposed to be very good for the complexion. Even if that’s not true, it’s on Nina’s list. Have you ever been there?
In 2017, I had the privilege of traveling to Israel on a biblical history tour with a friend and Pastor. After a hot morning touring Masada, Qumron (where the dead sea scrolls were found) and Jericho, we stopped for a “swim” in the dead sea. It was more like a cork bobbing in the water than actually swimming or soaking. I did not indulge in slathering mud all over myself as most of the other did. This turned the water a deep, muddy brown and seemed a little unsanitary to me. I will save my mud treatments for the spa!
