Polar Bears look soft and fluffy. But around their young, and when they’re eating, they can be dangerous if you get too close. When it comes to dinner time, you can see that they dig right in. Are you fearless? Do you want to get close to a wild animal that could do some serious damage? So, put #124 on your list!
These encounters were definitely not on purpose, as there is very little daredevil in my nature. However, I have encountered bears sharing my path while hiking, including a grizzly bear in Glacier National Park. While on safari in the Serengeti, our vehicle broke down and wouldn’t start while we were 100 feet away from a pride of lionesses. Thankfully, at the time they were more interested in napping than dinner!
