Meditation under the Angel Oak

Going on a retreat dedicated to centering oneself through meditation was on Nina’s List, but she never had the opportunity. Have you ever gotten away on that kind of retreat? What was the largest benefit of such a break?

I just had the opportunity to look at the website; and scan the extensive list – I plan on devoting much more time to learning it in detail. I read her Colvig Silver Camp stories . . . . . one of many insights I enjoyed was “thank God I don’t have to deal with any of those distractions so I can be completely immersed in what really matters.” From then on, I decided that I did not want to miss my own life while staring at a television screen.” FYI: I am very familiar with the Strafer hotel!

Thank you so much for being in the hallway and for sharing the website with me – I look forward to learning more about myself (parts of my personality that are in fear and doubt vs. loving and trusting parts of my personality) by exploring the list and the spirit from which it emerged.

This item is of particular importance to me as my intuition guides me toward it; but I don’t seem to ever put meditation into practice. I know I need to learn about mechanisms to quiet my mind and accept the “isness” of the present moment. When I do go on my meditation retreat (whenever that may be); I know that Nina’s spirit and love will be flowing through me.
